# Xero

> Connect a Xero organisation through a Custom Connection (client credentials).

## Setup

Create a Custom Connection at developer.xero.com (Accounting scopes, this organisation) and copy the client ID and secret. Custom Connections cost US\$5/month, billed by Xero to the organisation.

Add the connection under **Settings -> Connections**. Saving verifies it with a read-only test call.

## Operations

All operations are read-only. Apps declare the ones they use per connection; see [Using connections in apps](/connections/overview).

| `organisation.get` | Fetch the connected organisation. |
| `accounts.list` | List the chart of accounts. |
| `contacts.list` | List contacts. |
| `contact.get` | Fetch one contact. |
| `invoices.list` | List invoices with status and date filters. |
| `invoice.get` | Fetch one invoice with line items. |
| `bank_transactions.list` | List reconciled bank transactions (includes bank feeds). |
| `payments.list` | List payments. |
| `journals.list` | List journals in posting order. |
| `reports.profit_and_loss` | The profit and loss report. |
| `reports.balance_sheet` | The balance sheet report. |
| `reports.trial_balance` | The trial balance report. |
| `reports.bank_summary` | Bank account balances and cash movement for a period. |
