# BigQuery

> Connect to a Google BigQuery project.

## Setup

Paste a Google Cloud service account JSON key. Use a dedicated service account granted only the datasets Marina should read, and set a maximum scan limit to bound query cost.

Add the connection under **Settings -> Connections**. Saving verifies it with a read-only test call.

## Operations

All operations are read-only. Apps declare the ones they use per connection; see [Using connections in apps](/connections/overview).

| `schema.search` | Search tables and columns by name. |
| `schema.describe` | Describe one table's columns and types. |
| `query.read` | Run a read-only SQL query. |
